The LIZOTEX-600 tablet’s generic name is Linezolid. Linezolid comes under the classification of MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors). Linezolid works by blocking the breakdown of those compounds that are already broken down normally by monoamine oxidase enzymes. Linezolid is an antibiotic medicine that is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections, such as lung infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and severe bacterial infections.
Linezolid tablets stop the growth of bacteria by preventing the synthesis of proteins that are required by bacteria to carry out various functions inside the body. Its mechanism of action is fast; as soon as we take it in tablet form, it works on our body by killing unnecessary bacteria that are causing harmful infections, and also it keeps track of helpful bacteria that are required for our growth. It also provides us with certain proteins that stop the growth of harmful bacteria and thereby help our body to recover from infections.
The most common side effects of the LIZOTEX tablet generally include decreased blood cell count, diarrhea, nausea, and severe headache. Also, it is not advisable for pregnant women or women who are planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
